Leases signed the day they're ready — not the day everyone's back in town.
A lease usually needs a landlord and a tenant, sometimes an agent too — often in different suburbs, sometimes different provinces. KuduDoc lets each of them sign from their own phone, in the right order, and the moment the last signature lands the lease is sealed with a certification signature, fingerprinted and timestamped automatically.
No credit card to start — Personal plan included.
One lease, three signers, zero printers
Upload the lease exactly as your agent sent it. Add the landlord and tenant — and the agent, if they need to countersign — and set the order they sign in.
8. Maintenance and Repairs
The Tenant shall keep the interior of the premises in good order and report any defect requiring structural or exterior repair to the Landlord in writing. The Landlord shall attend to structural repairs within a reasonable time of receiving notice, save where the defect resulted from the Tenant's negligence.
From lease PDF to signed, in one sitting
Upload the lease
Drag in the PDF exactly as it came from your agent or your own template — residential or commercial, it doesn't matter.
Add everyone, in order
Landlord, tenant, and an agent if one needs to countersign. Set who signs first — KuduDoc enforces that order automatically.
Sealed the instant it's complete
Every signer works from their own phone or laptop. The moment the last signature lands, the lease is sealed with a certification signature, fingerprinted and timestamped — automatically.
Before you send your next lease
No. Upload the PDF, place signature fields for the landlord and tenant (and an agent, if one needs to sign), and set the order they sign in. Everyone signs from their own device — no printer, no scanner, no courier.
Yes. Add the signers the lease needs, in whatever order they should sign — landlord first, tenant first, or an agent countersigning last. KuduDoc enforces the order you set. There is a cap per document, though: three signers on the Personal plan, 25 on Personal and 50 on the Business plans. A landlord, a tenant and an agent is exactly three, so a second landlord or a co-tenant means Personal.
For ordinary residential and commercial leases, yes — electronic signatures are legally recognised in South Africa under the ECT Act, and leases of this kind are ordinary agreements under it. Two exceptions matter: a lease of land running longer than 20 years falls in the Act's Schedule 2 and still needs wet ink, and where a statute demands a signature, only an accredited advanced electronic signature satisfies it — we are not accredited and don't offer one. Whether any particular lease is valid depends on more than how it was signed, and that part isn't ours to answer. What we do add is what you can prove afterwards: a certification signature and a SHA-256 fingerprint on the completed lease, timestamped immediately, with the Bitcoin anchor confirming within hours.
A tamper-evident certification signature, a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file, and an independent timestamp — committed the moment it's sealed, with the Bitcoin anchor confirming within hours. All three are free to check by anyone at /verify, no KuduDoc account required.
5 leases a month are free, forever, no credit card. Sending more than that, or want a team seat for your agency? Personal raises that to 10 a month and costs R79/month including VAT for a household of five — that is the annual rate, and month-to-month costs more. Professional adds team seats and unlimited sends; its seat rate is on the full pricing page. Either way, leases you've already sent are never affected by a plan change.
Your next lease deserves a proper seal.
