Terms of use

These are the terms and conditions for using KuduDoc, wherever you live. Before you rely on a seal, read section 4. Before you sign, read section 5.

The essentials first

In short

Documents
The Library holds your documents. We store, render and seal them to run the service. Your documents
The seal
Anyone can check a sealed file on the public checker, free and without an account. It shows whether the file is unchanged since sealing — not whether what it says is true. What the seal means
Signatures
KuduDoc signatures are simple electronic signatures, backed by an activity record and a seal. South Africa’s ECT Act, the EU’s eIDAS Regulation and the US ESIGN Act and UETA all recognise electronic signatures, but the law that governs your document decides whether one is enough for it. Some documents still need ink. Signatures and the law
Plans
We do not take payments yet. Personal is free. Family, Professional and Business start with a 14-day free trial, and no card is needed; Enterprise is by arrangement. Plans and billing
If you leave
A completed document keeps its seal after you cancel. Keep the file and its timestamp proof, and it can still be checked. If you leave
Where you live
South African law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, the rights the law of your own country gives you, and that cannot be signed away, still apply. Governing law
